Two month update!

Two months today! Update on Kaetheo and life in the last month<3


This is going to be one long blog post full of pictures & updates! We finally got the pictures off the camera from the hospital and when Kaetheo came home with us. Also just some cute pictures of Kaetheo's adorable smile and of course our amazing shower !!

Two Months

Kaetheo has amazed us with how much he has grown in just one month! He can reach for toys, stick his tongue out back at you, and of course he loves to talk to us! He has started sleeping through the night pretty regularly which is AMAZING. The first time was a little nerve racking, we didn't get much sleep because we woke up waiting for him to wake up! :) He is eating 7 oz about every 4 hours and he has his two month check up on Friday. I am not excited about shots :( He is still in 6 month sized clothes. He smiles at us all the time, I just love going to get him from his crib in the morning to see how excited he is to see us! He is the love of our lives!

The weekend of the 15th was amazing! My mom, sister and cousins threw us a shower and the turn out was way more than we expected! We had family and friends drive from over 3+hours away just to celebrate our little family of three. We had over 110 family /friends show up! The house and garage were both packed with love for Kaetheo. We tried very hard to talk to every single person, we wanted to make sure everyone knew how thankful we were for their support throughout our journey to find our sweet little guy.

Almost everyone brought a book for Kaetheo. Inside they got to write a message to him so when we read him bedtime stories he will know who the book is from. He now has quite a collection of bedtime stories! We have already started reading them to him <3

One Month!!

Mr. Kaetheo is one month old today! By far the best month of our life! Time has flown by soo fast and he has already grown so much.. we just can't believe it. He is definitely our pride and joy. We find ourselves waking up in the middle of the night waiting for him to wake up for feedings because we just want to hold him so bad.

The love we have for him is indescribable. It still feels surreal holding him in our arms. We have fallen in love with everything about him. His nose, his eyes, his smile, his cry, his little toes and little lips<3

He LOVES tummy time. If he is ever crying just put him on his tummy on our chest and he falls right to sleep. He loves to snuggle his little head against our chins <3

Jordan was even telling him how proud he was of his poopy diaper yesterday! Daddy was impressed haha!

He has the CUTEST sneeze. We have been trying so hard to catch it on video but we have failed so far! He is already a big eater. He eats 6-7 ounces every 3-4 hours! It took us a while to figure out how he slept best. With the help of Kaylah's mom and lots of trial and error we have it down perfectly!

Kaetheo has had many visitors already! A lot of people have been so anxious to meet him.

The first day home we had our entire family come over. A house full of 30-40 people welcomed him home . Since then they have come back for more cuddles.

Halloween was exciting for us this year. We were excited to dress Kaetheo up and take millions of pictures and of course we did. We even had two costumes for him. We used one earlier in the week and the mummy one on Halloween. We didn't go trick or treating because it would just be Jordan and I eating his candy at this point. We decided to have some quality time at home watching movies and answering the door for trick or treaters. Unfortunately we don't get many, but luckily our family brings our nieces and nephews by!

We get to talk to Kaetheo's birthmom and birthmom's mom a lot throughout the week! I thought we might be annoying them with all the pictures, but they told us there can never be too many. It's really nice to be able to share our excitement on his accomplishments with them!

Dream come true!

Two days ago we had no idea what was in store for our future. Little did we know we were about to get our dream call! A birth mother had chosen us, and not only were we chosen, he was already entering this world. We had our match meeting and we never left the hospital! Luckily she liked us:) We had a wonderful time getting to know her and her family and most of all Kaetheo! Please help us welcome Kaetheo Lloyd to our family. Most of all please pray that he will be our forever son<3

With heavy hearts, it pains us to announce that the little boy we were matched with was meant to be another amazing adoptive family's blessing.

Although we would love to share the full story with all of you, we need to respect B and this little boys beautiful story, since it is no longer our story to tell<3

We are still in contact with B and care for her very much. We hope to continue our friendship with her and hopefully his new adoptive family. Please keep B and this precious baby boy in your prayers. 

Our moments with him were unforgettable and he will forever be in our heart.

As for us ..we are once again a hopeful waiting family.

best birthday week ever!!

The weekend before my birthday Jordan and I finally had made the decision that I would not be returning to work. I became a full time stay-at-home wife and we were both extremely excited about it.

On Monday, August 4th I called my boss and informed him of the news. He understood and it was so nice to hear the support on the other end of the call. Our biggest priority was to find the child that was meant to be ours<3  Little did we know ...............

Wednesday, August 6th-- My BIRTHDAY!!

It was a nice relaxing day.  At about 8:30 pm we bought a movie and we were cuddling with the puppies on the couch watching it when 9pm rolled around. Our phone rang. It was a number we had never seen before. I told Jordan to pause the movie and I answered.......

On the other line was someone that was about to make my birthday unforgettable...HANDS DOWN the best birthday I have ever had! It was an extremely special call because it wasn't our counselor calling to tell us someone had chosen us..it was the birth mother herself (who we will call B)! We were so nervous after she explained who she was. We were at a loss of words because as much as we have prepared for that exciting call it is way different when it actually happens. After about 20 seconds of talking to her it became a lot easier. She's funny, sweet, and has a big personality just like both of us!! B proceeded to tell us that she wants to meet us right away and of course we wanted to meet her too. 

I got off the phone with her and turned to Jordan (who was pressed up against me listening) and said "wow, I really REALLY liked her..I hope she likes us when she meets us!!" The phone call was so refreshing, she made us feel extremely special. Who knew that we could have an instant connection in a phone call that lasted less than 5 minutes??

and did you remember?? All of this happened on my BIRTHDAY!! 

We met that Friday and had an immediate connection!

We are so proud to announce that we are MATCHED with B and the most adorable little boy in the world! LOOK AT THOSE CHEEKS! We can't wait to kiss them all over!<33
