Our names are Kaylah and Jordan.

About Kaylah- by Jordan

Kaylah is without a doubt the most loving and caring person I know. She comes from a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins, most of which live within fifteen miles of our home, and she loves spending all the time she can with them! She's always willing to help others out when they need a hand, even if they are strangers. This has helped her to be extremely successful both in relationships with friends and family and in her professional life. Although Kaylah is currently working, our plan is for her to be a stay-at-home mom after we become a family. She's always been a selfless person, attending to others' wants and needs before considering her own. She loves playing games, and is always eager to sit down and play board, card, or dice games, even the occasional video game. She's an outgoing people person who loves spending every moment with her family and friends, but never afraid to reach out and say hello to someone new.

I know that Kaylah will love our children more than anything in the world. Her first thought every morning and last thought every night will be making sure that she's done everything she possibly can as a mother to provide for her children and that they're as happy as they can be. She will be the ultimate stay-at-home mom and classic soccer mom, catering to her kids and their friends, busing them to sporting events and birthday parties, and loving every minute of it. She would never be afraid to help her child through tough times, always being there to listen when they need her most. She will be the perfect role model for our children, and will always be someone they can look up to.

About Jordan- by Kaylah

Jordan is the most intelligent man I have ever met. He works as a software developer for a great company. He comes from a family of five and is the big brother to two younger sisters. When spending time with his family, you can expect to smell his mom’s delicious homemade pizzas in the oven while playing Monopoly or Apples to Apples on their living room floor. Jordan’s hobbies include working on computers, playing board games with family, watching sports, attending sporting events with his dad, playing with his niece and nephew and, last but not least, eating macaroni and cheese. He loves to learn, and if something breaks, he isn’t afraid to learn how to fix it himself with the help of his dad, my dad, or his brothers-in-law. He is the person that will remember you ten years down the road, even if he has only met you once. He genuinely cares about everyone and will do everything he can to make someone’s day better even at his own expense.

Jordan will be the father that will be at his child's bedside during nightmares and the father that will take the time out of his day to play games, read books, and make cookies. He will be the father that will pick his child up when they fall, whether it was their fault or not. He will be the father that would play dress up or play sports. He will be the father that supports his children in any decision they make. He will be at every sporting event and dance recital without any question. He will be the goofy father that every child is embarrassed about when they are younger, but appreciates when they are older.

About us:

We got engaged during college at the same campground where we first met. We got married on a beautiful September day and planted our own roots in Otsego, MN, where we bought our first home. Our home is set on a sunny hill overlooking a gorgeous pond that is home to many different kinds of wildlife. We have over an acre of luscious green grass that we can't wait to play games on. We live within walking distance of beautiful Otsego park, which has a playground, volleyball courts, and plenty of paths to ride bikes or rollerblade on. Our neighbors are especially nice, and we often let our puppies play together when we go on our nightly walk.

Our Home:

At home you will find us cooking together in our kitchen, often trying to find new recipes to call our own. We are always decorating for the seasons and love to have family and friends over to play games, have dinner or watch movies. You will find Padraig (our yorkie) running around with us everywhere we go. He is a huge cuddler and loves to be held. When it is warm out, you will find us out on our deck grilling or having a fire and roasting marshmallows. We both love to do a variety of things whether it be camping, shopping, playing tennis and volleyball or just staying indoors while watching movies and cuddling on the couch.

Our Families:

Most of our family lives within fifteen minutes of us, some right down the road! We love to spend every moment possible together: birthdays, holidays, weekends, and even just random dinners or movie nights. Kaylah's dad started us geocaching as a family to help our niece, nephew, and cousins find new little treasures. If anyone is in trouble in our family, whether it be a car accident or illness, you will find the waiting room full of thirty to forty people waiting to be sure their loved one is okay. We are the ultimate do-it-yourself family. If anyone in our family needs help re-roofing their house, fixing their car, or even having a garage sale you will find everyone there. We enjoy spending time together, good and bad. We make re-roofing a house fun with a potluck and music! We often spend long weekends with Jordan's family in Little Falls doing all sorts of fun activities like going out to movies, playing wacky board and card games, and going on fishing trips. Jordan's dad is always excited to have his own fish fry, usually making sunfish or walleye for the family.
